Spring/Early Summer Vegetables

Our season doesn’t really end, we just have lower amounts. The harvest season starts in March/April/May with Asparagus, Kale, Chard, Lettuce and other Greens, Radishes, and Turnips. In June we should have Beets, Carrots, Garlic Scapes, Cucumbers, Herbs, Cherry Tomatoes and Spring Onions. By July we have Garlic, Bush Beans, Summer Squash, Cucumbers, Onions, New Potatoes, Shallots, and usually Cherry Tomatoes.

mid-summer/fall/winter vegetables

Summer brings on the Heirloom Tomatoes! We have selected a large variety for you to enjoy, 39 varieties in 2015! The cherry tomatoes are incredibly sweet, we use hybrids as we have yet to find an heirloom that matches the flavor of our favorites. The bounty continues with much of the same veg, except Asparagus. Storage crops for winter include onions, potatoes, winter squash and more. Greens will be in season later and later, mostly year round with the addition of heat in our high tunnel.

The vineyard

Chambourcin is pictured, a French-American hybrid red wine grape has been our hardiest variety. We have taken what we have learned about our soil in the garden and have been scaling up for the vineyard. Currently five acres, we are perfecting the crop and should hopefully get a good harvest this year. We plan on opening a winery down the road when we can prove our harvests.
